So it's Wednesday night. I am currently watching Geordie shore ( it's the uk version of Jersey Shore...and if you can believe it, it's even more ridiculous,)
I had a pretty amazing day. I got up at 9... Got to chat with Charlie for over an hour. Honesty made my day!! I used to talk to her EVERY DAY...I mean every day in the morning when I was at home. We would have a chat in the morning on our way to work, and usually if we could one on the way home from work. Charlie is definately a soul sister, and it was SOOO nice to get to chat and catch up today! Perfect start to my day!
Then I walked into work for my shift. I am now about 15 minutes away, which isn't bad at all. It's a bit further than when I was at the hostel, but where we are located is just absolutely breathtaking..so it's totally worth it:) it was raining so I wore my rain coat (Britt..I have a rain coat!). Hehe...you're proud..I know u are
My shift was good! I really do love the girls that I work with. Nicole is one of my favorites. She is from Fiji and we always have a ball when we work together. Christine (my manager) is really cool too! She is a lot of fun and just as sarcastic as I am, which makes things great:)
I was done my shift at 4 and walked to the gym for a workout. Then after that I walked back home and kris (the owner of the house) was home and had made dinner for us. We have honestly lucked out HUGE!! Kris is so nice, and just great to be around. He treats us so well, and it's nice to be in a house and feel comfortable!! We have a bed, and a shower and the view from our room is just stunning!! Could we be so lucky??
So I booked Jo and my ferry to Wellington. We leave next Monday the 13th from picton. We will hitchhike to picton (which is about 2 hours away) and the. We catch the ferry at 6:00 pm. We get into Wellington at 10:30 pm and then we leave Wellington on my birthday (January 15th) and catch the bus to Auckland. I am ready to leave Nelson. I like it, but I'm over it. It's kinda of like smiths falls...if there was a beach near it. They call the "dirty people...white trash" bogans. Everyone knows that name..haha. Lots of bogans come into my work on a daily basis. Lol.
So basically things are amazing. Not a day comes that I don't wake up and feel greatful for where I am and what I am doing. My head feels clear. I am happy. I feel myself. I am alive...I notice things. Nature is so much more obvious. Clouds stand out each day. It really is amazing. I feel very lucky.
That being said.... I do miss all my amazing people that I have at home. I love you all so much, and am so grateful for all of you:) thank you for being you.
And one word of advice, best spoken by my friend John Heney....go out there and "Be the person you would like to meet"!
